Our passion is perfecting interactive muscle strengthening tools to bring athletes, fitness enthusiasts, medical patients and the everyday person performing to levels they once thought were unobtainable. Phantom’s products are the answer to build safe, effective and more powerful muscles resulting in increased capabilities to meet those levels needed to perform. Who knew where Happy Hour at the Brigantine in Del Mar, CA would take us. Definitely not down the path of inventing a sport related tool that will revolutionize sport as we know it, right? Wrong!
That’s the magical place where three best friends sat down and decided to take a chance. With Ryne Tacker’s magical imagination, Kory Farthing’s crazy technical skills, and Scott Lonergan’s energizer-powered mouth, anything is possible. So we hit the ground running with the goal of seeing how far we could get, knowing that we’d never settle for anything less than the best.
Kory designed our first prototype using a compression sleeve with sewn pockets of bb’s throughout the sleeve. From there, Scott took the first ever prototype to the inventor of the multi-million dollar venture, the Hit-A-Way, Jon Weisz. Jon told Scott that this could be something special and to get it patented right away. This is where Mr. Steve Sprinkle came into play – by far the world’s best patent attorney! The rest of our legal council consists of Wilson Pollan, who despite us being 25 years old and broke, enabled us to live the American Dream and become an LLC so we are now business owners! From there, it was time to put together our “Dream Team” of successful business men who could point us in the right direction to bring this from idea to reality. Many thanks to dangerous Doug Lonergan for your hours of free advice, dependable Dan Peoples for insight on how to raise money, Dr. James Bried for all that medical jargon, Dr. Jimmy Disch for being brave enough to test out our prototypes, Dr. John Eliot for being the man of many talents, Dom Johnson for “pitching” this forward, Kathy Farthing for sewing on those first bb’s, and Cole Hamels for continuing to pester us for you to get our first final sleeve. Our desire at PWT is to improve the qualities of life for every human being. We aim to revolutionize sport as we know it. PWT is going to change the way athletes train and people rehabilitate. Our goal is to improve an athlete’s ability level so much that they now have a shot at that college scholarship, a chance at the professional draft, or better yet making it to the Major Leagues!!!
